Fat Ass Friday (on Saturday!)

Ok, so I'm a day late, but better late than never! I decided that I wanted to start participating in a blog link up called Fat Ass Friday on Brandy's blog, You Don't Know.

Starting weight: 233
Current weight: 233
Weight +GAIN / -LOSS this week: +0.0
Total weight lost: 0

In all honesty, I was dreading my first weigh in, because at the end of the last Soul Cyster's Challenge, I weighted 235.8, and I haven't been any lower than that in 2 months. Even with diet changes and my attempts to workout, I gained weight. Well, to my surprise, I have finally lost weight! And I'm super excited about it, because I ate my favorite munchie food last night - Salsa Verde Doritos and all natural sour cream. And when I start eating it, I eat a lot.

I also decided that even though I have technically lost over 25 pounds since I started in Nov 2010, I wanted to start with a fresh weight for FAF.

If you want to join up with us, head over to Brandy's blog!

  1. Hi Lynee, I noticed I am almost twice your age, but I loved your 101 and there are sooo many items I haven't done yet, but still working on it :) As far as I could read you are very brave. I am struggling with weight for many years (I am about 180 pounds and 5")and I know how hard it is, especially together with sicknesses. I believe that you will be successful and you will be a great Mom some day. I waited until I was 35 now I have a six year old princess and I am sure that you will have the same happiness some day, don't lose hope. Best wishes and good luck. Greetings from the other end of the world!"http://beautiesinlife.blogspot.com"

  3. Hey! I'm a friend of Brady's. I saw your name on her page and wanted to say hi. I also have PCOS and it sucks. Losing weight has been a struggle for me for quite some time. I've weighted the same weight (give or take 5 pounds) for a year even though I work out A LOT. Tell me what you know about losing weight with PCOS?

  4. Thanks so much for all of the support! I really appreciate it.

Impulsive Addict - I know a LOT about losing weight with PCOS. I'm in the process of writing a really long blog about it, but I'm not sure how long it will take. It really depends on your different PCOS symptoms. I'd love to talk to you more about it, though, in the interim. Feel free to email me at lovergirl666(at)gmail(dot)com and we can talk more!

Food Allergy Test Results

I was in for a surprise when I got my food allergy test results this past Wednesday. For the few days prior, my thoughts were wrought with fear that I may be allergic to garlic or nuts. I even started designing my garlic and nut super-villain tattoos. Thankfully those weren't on my list. The shock came with the 29 other items on my list! Moderate allergies Baker’s and brewer's yeast Pineapple Vanilla White mushroom Sensitivities Broccoli Buttermilk Carrots Casein Celery Cilantro Cinnamon Cod Dates Iceberg lettuce Kiwi Lamb Millet Onion Oregano Parsley Plum Potato Raspberry Rosemary Sage Strawberry Swiss cheese Turkey I was upset to see so many yummy foods on the list, including my go-to meat, turkey, and some of my usual spices. I was glad to see celery and onions, though. I’ve detested them for years and I always get laughed at for hating onions. Now I have a legitimate reason for hating them! I can live with this list. Well, I

What's Your Song? Thursday Link Up

This week has just been... rough. It started over the weekend. Mom and I spent a lot of time, money and effort in organizing my kitchen and cooking a ton of food. Sadly, cooking, as much as I love it, has become a major pain for me in the past couple of years, and even more so in the last 6 months. I have been dealing with a lot of back pain, and it is at the point where I cannot stand in one place for more than 10 minutes before I collapse in pain. And when I mean collapse, I'm not kidding. Knees hit the floor, tears start streaming down my face, and I lean on the object closest to me, hoping that the waves of pain along my spine will go away. Doctors have no idea what's wrong, x-rays don't show any problems, and the chiropractor claimed I had 4 pinched ligaments, but I can't afford to go to him twice a week to get adjustments (especially when the last time I went, I was in pain for a week afterwards). I did a lot of cooking while sitting down this weekend to ease the
