Music on my Calendar

Sometimes you just have to plan for the future, even if you have no idea how you'll feel when you get there. This year, my planning has been for concerts! I love going to concerts. It's one of Hubs and I's favorite activities. For about a decade now, I haven't been a big fan of crowds. Can't stand them. Freaks me out and I get a little panicy. When I went to my first major rock concert, I felt the same way. I had never been to Gexa Energy Pavilion (it has been so many names over the years), a large outdoor concert venue in Dallas. And I chose a fairly large concert for my first one there, so I was pretty anxious on my way over there. Add Hubs' frustration with driving around Dallas, and I was freaking out before we ever hit the parking lot. But anywho, once we finally got inside and picked a spot on the lawn, I realized it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was plenty of room around me so I didn't feel cramped and claustrophobic. Afte...

Concerts and Roller Coasters!

Since we moved to our smaller apartment, I've been experimenting with activities Hubs and I can enjoy. We already started with concerts. We've been to more this year than we have since we've been together! 97.1 BFD 2014 - Theory of a Deadman, who happens to sing one of my theme-songs, along with a bunch of other bands like The Pretty Reckless, Five Finger Death Punch and Killswitch Engage. Motley Crue's final tour - I just knew I couldn't pass up this concert. I had a cat named Motley and a dog named Crue. It was an epic concert! I've never seen that many people at Gexa before. And Alice Cooper performed too! Mayhem Fest - it's only a week and a half away, and it has my all-time favorite band, Korn, performing with Avenged Sevenfold and others! This will make Korn concert #2 for me. Hubs has been to several. I've got to dig out my Korn outfit! Two weeks ago, I went to Six Flags' website to check out the season pass prices. I found out that last ...

The tragic death of an appliance...

I almost cried over a kitchen appliance yesterday. I know that sounds funny, but I did cry tears of joy when I brought my Kitchenaid stand mixer home a few years ago. So when my Magic Bullet decided it hated me yesterday, I really did almost cry. The blade spinner in the base just snapped in half. It wasn't something little that I could potentially fix. It was ruined. I have gotten back in the routine of my morning smoothies, so my necessary smoothie tool breaking really messed that up. Yeah, I could buy a new one, but I'd have to wait a week or two until I get paid. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal - but my Magic Bullet is my second favorite appliance (My stand mixer being the first, obviously lol) Found via GoogleImages from SoulSeeds.com But last night my mom wanted to go buy a new magic bullet for my grandmother. Guess who else got one? Yep, me! I'm very thankful that it was gifted to me. Even better - the black edition, which we got, comes with two eve...
