Flash Giveaway for Weight Loss Challenge Entry Fee!

A few months ago I decided to pay for some other Cyster's entry fees for the Soul Cyster's Weight Loss Challenge. I think it's time to do it again! This time the giveaway will only be available for the weekend... I'm not giving you any time to second guess your decision about joining. Unless it makes you join! The participants of the challenge have access to a private facebook group to chat with other members, and we encourage everyone to use it to give and receive support. The challenge is open to anyone with PCOS whose BMI is within or above the normal range. To go along with the shorter length of time, the cost has been reduced to $6. All of the entry fees (minus paypal fees) are split between our winners. So for $6 dollars, we provide you with exercise suggestions, a group of women who want to succeed as much as you do, and cash prizes! Sounds fun, right? It is :) And to prove it, I'm going to pay 2 lucky people's entry fees. Have I enticed you enough ye...

Giveaway results!!!

I was excited to see the reaction to the Soul Cyster's Weight Loss Challenge giveaway. I know only 4 people entered, but that's 4 more than my last one :) After discussing it with my husband, we have decided to do something that mose giveaways don't do.... Make everyone a winner! I figure that it's not really that expensive since the format changed, and I know how awesome the other participants are, so I want to allow everyone a chance to experience it. Plus, the bigger the pot, the bigger the prize at the end :) So for those of you that entered, check your email! I've sent you the information you'll need to get started in the challenge! I can't wait to get started again :)

Weight Loss Challenge and GIVEAWAY!!

I've participated in the Soul Cyster Weight Loss Challenge on multiple occasions. I've even won once. And I'm ready to get back in it. So much so that I'm also volunteering to help run it. I'm responsible for creating some of the fitness challenges. I'm really excited about this for a few reasons. First, the format of the challenge has changed. Previously it has been a 3 month challenge, and it goes great for the first month, but activity starts to decline in months two and three. In order to keep everyone going and excited, it's being changed to last just 6 weeks. Instead of weigh-ins every two weeks, there will only be 3 weigh-ins total. The starting weight, mid-weight and end weight. The fitness challenges are going to build on themselves, progressively getting harder. There will be a lot of different options in regards to exercise, including yoga, cardio and circuit training. The participants of the challenge have access to a private facebook group t...

Woohoo! More giveaways :)

It's time for giveaway blogs again! Yay! I'm really excited about the ones I have found this week. Woodland Belle Tiny Twig Pins from Laura DeLuca I'll be the first to admit, my hairpin collection is small. Okay, okay, pretty much non-existent. I've got plenty of clippies, but really cute hairpins are hard to come by. At least until Laura at Laura DeLuca introduced me to Woodland Belle . I love all things related to nature (which reminds me, I really need to post a picture of my evergrowing sweet potato vine - it's gorgeous!) Woodland Belle has 4 different collections, all of which are handcrafted by Mai McKemy. She does fantastic work, and you have a chance to win these amazing Tiny Twig hairpins! I also wanted to show off my favorite item, the Tiny Woodland Terrarium Mushroom and Blue Morpho Butterfly Necklace, which I hope to purchase soon :) Stop by Laura's blog, Laura DeLuca , to enter the giveaway, and check out Woodland Belle's site, Woodland Bell...

Check out these giveaways!

I love blog giveaways. There's just something about free stuff that gets me excited :) I'm not at work today, so I decided to do some blog surfing for giveaways. Here's what I found! (As always, the pictures link to the giveaway post) "Holy crap, I have over 500 followers" Giveaway from Jen and Life, Crafts and Whatever Hubs and I love trays. They make life a little easier, because you can carry a lot at once. This helps especially when you live in a townhome and have bad knees. One tray with everything on it is so much better than several trips up and down the stairs just using two hands to carry things. Jen is giving away a tray. But this isn't just any tray. It's got a beautiful damask design on it. I love the damask pattern! And if that isn't cool enough, she's making it custom for the winner. I would love, Love, LOVE to win this, so I can get a black and red one for my living room! Head over to Life, Crafts and Whatever to enter! Oh, and...

GoBarStools.com Review

Norbo Wall-Mounted Folding Table from Ikea I love giveaways. Why? Because you have the chance to win something that may or may not normally buy. My philosophy on saving money is this - "If you can get it free or discounted, why pay full price for it?" A month or two ago I wrote about a recliner giveaway. I didn't win, but that's ok. I received an email last night from one of the guys that works at that company, informing me of yet another giveaway they are having! All you have to do is write a 100+ word review over one of their many websites, and you're entered to win a $500 gift certificate. I can do a lot with $500. So Hubs and I surfed through the sites last night, picking out what we would want to use the money on - and that helped me pick the site to review. We bought a new dining table at Ikea a week ago, but didn't get chairs. We were going to use folding chairs, but if I can get bar stools for free, why use the folding chairs? GoBarStools.com ...

OMG Giveaways!

A lot of blogs that have a larger following than I do have giveaways. On most, you can receive an entry just for blogging about their giveaway. I think it's about time I start blogging about them! I did this last week with just a couple of giveaways. This time I have 5! (For all giveaways - clicking the picture will take you to the giveaway post) I'll start with my go-to review and giveaway site, Take It From Me FyrFlyz I was drawn to this giveaway solely for the title. I loved fireflies when I was a kid, so I was curious as to what may be marketed with the same name. These things look so cool! My husband is, dare I say it, just a big kid. If I took him to Toys-R-Us and gave him money, he'd be in heaven. I love that about him. I know he'll be great at helping out with the kids because he'll always want to play with their toys! When I saw these FyrFlyz, all I could think about was him. They glow in the dark, and you can swing them around and make light shapes. I ...

I may not be Charlie Sheen, but I'm winning!

This past week has just been, well, my week. I've been on a nice winning streak lately, which has been especially nice considering all the crap we've been dealing with lately, medically and financially. First, I won 3rd place in the Soul Cysters Weight Loss Challenge. I have lost 23+ pounds since the start of the challenge in December. That won me $20.00. Since the winnings are sent though PayPal, it's officially my eBay money :) Then, during National Infertility Awareness Week, there were giveaways everywhere! I won a cd from Chance To Hope. I'm not sure if it's just one song or a collection, but either way, I'm excited to listen to it. "Invisible Loss" by Fertility Advisors' Owner, Deb Grisset. It keeps going :) I also won a book, Taking Charge of your Fertility , and a basal body thermometer (BBT) from The Lucky 7. For those of you unaware, a BBT is a thermometer that is accurate to .1 degrees, whereas traditional thermometers are...
