May Goals: 2016 Edition

Work:
- Continue working 6+ hours a day - YEP
- Host a Norwex party - Nope, because the hostess keeps forgetting to call people.
- Help my first consultant  get started - No.

Health:
- Work out at least twice a week. - Nope.
- Be consistent with my supplements. - Yes! Now I just need to reorder the important ones that I have run out of.
- Meal prep on weekends so I have food when I don't want to cook - I've done this once, which is so much better than not at all. It was nice to have meals finished for several days.

School:
- Start and finish my Mobile App Development course - Just need to take the exam, which I might not have the cash to pay for.
- Work with Hubs to set a schedule to finish another course together - Nope. Hubs isn't really interested in taking any of the courses that I have paid for, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

PCOS Group:
- Plan April's Dallas event and post details in the group - Yes.
- Plan May's Ft Worth event - Yep.
- Get some FB/Twitter posts scheduled - No.

Personal/Home:
- Cut back on my tv show hours - Yes
- Play more games with Hubs - Yes
- Work on Spike's leash training - Ehhhh not really
- Get our sleeping schedule fixed so I can get up earlier in the AM - Not really, but I am getting to work an hour earlier, so that's a start.
- Clean the apartment - Mostly
- Plant some flowers/veggies/herbs and don't let them die - No
- Proofread a new novel from another aspiring writer friend! - Started! Haven't finished yet though
- Start writing/journalling in the evenings before bed, so I have a written list of the things I accomplished. - I've been doing this consistently for a little over a week. I'm really just writing down what I felt to be good things that happened, and ignoring the bad unless it's important, like physically being incapable of doing something simple.
- File taxes. - They've been dealt with.

All in all, I think I killed April. Most of the incomplete goals had nothing to do with a lack of effort on my part. I had some good things happen, like a friend asking me to teach him how to cook vegan dishes, lost some weight without really trying, mastered the process of making kombucha... So it's on to May!

Work:
- Keep up the 6+ hour days
- Host a Norwex party
- Finish up a freelance web design job I picked up

Health:
- GET BACK TO YOGA.
- Re-order the supplements I'm out of
- Keep meal prepping

Personal/Home:
- Get office and spare bathroom cleaned up/organized for visiting family
- Go to 2 rock concerts!
- Keep writing in my happiness journal
- Work an pet adoption event
- Keep reading my friend's novel
- Read the books I checked out from the library

I was so stressed/busy in April that I decided May needed to be a breather month. I'm not stressing about classes (although I have several I still need to take). This month it's all about money and happiness.

  1. I've noticed a few people have listed meal planning as part of their goals and I have to admit it's one of mine too! Hopefully we can all figure out something that works.

What's Your Song? Thursday IS BACK!

I realized that I'm in desperate need of some tunage. I'm trying a 3-day juice fast, and I want it to go well, so I need to be in a good mood - esp. since I hate most of the veggies in the juice but I know they are good for me. I have some good news - I have lost enough weight to take the 'W's off the end of my pant size, and I had to buy new, SMALLER undies. YAY! The hubby is very excited about the pair decorated with sledding penguins lol. Here's my song - Dirty Laundry by Bitter:Sweet. Love this song!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go dance with my dog and ignore all the dirty laundry that really needs to meet the washing machine :) Join us on this great link-up from Amber at Goodnight Moon !

Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning/afternoon/evening! I hope the weather didn't make it difficult for you to get here :) Here in Texas we went from 90 degrees on Saturday to a high of mid-50's yesterday, and the high today is only 50. And it's wet and raining :( Thanks for dropping by my blog. I am excited to be the featured blogger on Mrs. O's Life: Monday Bloglight. I'm sure you have already read the intro on her page, so I'll spare you the boring details. I am primarily a PCOS/Infertility blogger, with a little of my own craziness blended in. I am also fighting depression and bipolar II disorder, making this journey especially difficult - because we are automatically disqualified from so many adoption agencies for that. If only they knew that these mental problems are linked to the reason we were trying to adopt in the first place. Anywho, enough ranting. I post several times a week - depending on what I have to blog about. I try to get a meal plan out by the end of every Mond...

The Doctor... Doctor Who? A.K.A. Damn you, Netflix :)

Oh, the hardships of having no cable TV... We decided that we were paying way too much money for cable, when there were only a handful of channels we watched. Of course we couldn't get the basic cable, because it was missing half of the channels we wanted. So I cut it off completely. And I'm so glad I did. We upgraded our internet service, bought a year of Xbox Gold membership, and subscribed to Hulu Plus and Netflix. Although we have decided to cancel our Hulu subscription, we love Netflix. Hulu is great for current shows, but Netflix is awesome because we can watch an entire series. When it first came out, I LOVED Alias. It was a spy show starring Jennifer Garner. My mom and I used to watch it every week. But Hubs had never heard of it! Seriously, he lived under a mountain. At least when it came to TV. So we watched all 5 seasons of Alias. We decided that instead of watching various shows all at once, we would choose a series and watch it all before switching to a new show....
